MissionVet Specialty + Emergency is seeking a Relief Emergency Veterinarian to join our San Antonio team. You will deliver high-quality emergency and critical care to a diverse caseload of companion animals and collaborate with veterinarians, technicians, and staff to provide compassionate, seamless care.

Ideal candidates hold a DVM or equivalent and state licensure eligibility, with internship or 2+ years in emergency practice.

Qualifications

• DVM or equivalent veterinary degree with eligibility for state veterinary licensure.
• Internship trained or 2 full time years as an Emergency Veterinarian.
• Confidence managing emergency cases and making sound clinical decisions in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills with a compassionate, client-centered approach.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality emergency and critical care to a diverse caseload of companion animals.
• Evaluate, diagnose, and develop treatment plans for patients presenting with urgent and emergent medical conditions.
• Perform emergency procedures and stabilize critically ill or injured patients using evidence-based medicine.
• Collaborate with veterinarians, technicians, and support teams for seamless patient care.
• Communicate clearly and empathetically with pet owners during stressful situations.
