Job summary

Emergency Pet Care of Texas, part of National Veterinary Associates, is seeking a Veterinarian - Emergency in Magnolia, Texas. This full-time role offers a base salary of $150,000–$180,000 plus production, with overnight shifts and rotating day coverage in a 24/7 AAHA-accredited hospital.

You'll join an experienced emergency team, supported by licensed technicians and staff, performing advanced emergency procedures and collaborating with a mobile surgeon for complex cases.

Qualifications

  • DVM or equivalent veterinary degree with eligibility for state licensure.
  • Internship or FT emergency medicine experience preferred.
  • Confident managing emergency cases in a fast-paced setting.
  • Strong communication and client-centered care.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality emergency and critical care to a diverse caseload of companion animals.
  • Evaluate, diagnose, and develop treatment plans for urgent and emergent conditions.
  • Provide comprehensive emergency care through triage, care of hospitalized patients, and stabilization.
  • Perform emergency procedures and stabilize critically ill or injured patients.
  • Work closely with veterinarians, technicians, and support teams for seamless patient care.
  • Communicate clearly and empathetically with pet owners during stressful situations.
  • Contribute to a positive hospital culture built on collaboration and continuous learning.

Base Salary of $150,000-$180,000 plus production.

Full-Time opportunity in Magnolia, Texas

Schedule: 12 shifts per month | Primarily overnight with opportunity to rotate through day shifts | 8:00 PM–8:00 AM and 8:00 AM–8:00 PM

At Emergency Pet Care of Texas, you’ll join an experienced emergency team that has been providing high-quality Emergency and Critical Care to the Magnolia community since 2015.

As a 24/7, AAHA-accredited hospital, EPCT offers the opportunity to practice comprehensive emergency medicine—from triaging incoming patients and managing hospitalized cases to performing emergency surgical procedures including laceration repairs, exploratory laparotomies, GDVs, and splenectomies.

You’ll be supported by a skilled team of Licensed Veterinary Technicians, Veterinary Assistants, and Client Service Representatives who share a commitment to exceptional medicine and compassionate client care. For more advanced surgical and orthopedic cases, our team also has access to a mobile surgeon, allowing you to collaborate and provide continuity of care for more complex patients.

In your day-to-day, you will
  • Deliver high-quality emergency and critical care to a diverse caseload of companion animals.

  • Provide comprehensive emergency care through a balanced mix of receiving new emergency cases, triaging incoming patients, and managing hospitalized patients throughout their course of treatment.
  • Perform emergency procedures and stabilize critically ill or injured patients using evidence-based medicine.
  • Work closely with veterinarians, technicians, and support teams to provide seamless, compassionate patient care.
  • Communicate clearly and empathetically with pet owners during stressful and emotional situations.
  • Contribute to a positive, team-focused hospital culture built on collaboration, mentorship, and continuous learning.
What You Bring
  • DVM or equivalent veterinary degree with eligibility for state veterinary licensure.
  • Completion of a rotating internship or two years of experience practicing FT in emergency medicine is our ideal candidate.
  • Confidence managing emergency cases and making sound clinical decisions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills with a compassionate, client-centered approach.
