Job summary

Ranchwood Nursing Center in Yukon, OK is seeking an experienced cook dedicated to high-quality resident meals. The Cook follows standard menus, recipes, and dietary regulations while supervising service and maintaining a clean, safe kitchen environment.

Qualifications

• One year experience as a cook in hotel, restaurant, hospital, or similar institution preferred.
• Food handlers’ card required, or Food Safety Certification where required by local ordinance.
• Must have fundamental understanding of sanitation, cleanliness, and personal hygiene.
• Must be able to tactfully communicate with co-workers, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies and the general public.
• Must have regular, predictable, and dependable attendance.

Responsibilities

• Follow food handling and storage guidelines, including all raw and prepared foods.
• Prepare foods using standardized recipes and production worksheets.
• Ensure meals are served on time with proper portion control and presentation.
• Maintain sanitation and clean kitchen and equipment per procedures.
• Close of the kitchen with policy and regulatory compliance.
