Job summary

Lactalis American Group in Nampa, ID is hiring a Relief Production Operator IV – Vats (String) to support cheese production. You will start lines, monitor HTST and vats, perform lab checks (pH/TA), and document results.

The role supports both relief coverage and full operations with a focus on accuracy and safety. Candidates should have a HS diploma or GED and some dairy or food manufacturing experience, plus the ability to read recipes and follow make sheets.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred but not required.
• Minimum 6 months of experience in food manufacturing, dairy processing, or a similar production environment preferred.
• Experience with basic lab testing (pH, TA) is a plus.
• Ability to read and follow make sheets, recipes, and production instructions.

Responsibilities

• Prepare lines for the cheese-making process.
• Operate the milk pasteurizer (HTST) including startup and shutdown.
• Monitor and record cheese-making parameters via sampling and lab analyses.
• Use PLC/HMI controls to operate and adjust equipment.
• Follow prescribed recipes for various cheese products.
• Maintain accurate records of cheese-making, deviations, and lab results.
