Job summary

Washington & Jefferson College is seeking a part-time Campus Shuttle Driver to transport employees and authorized passengers between parking areas and campus locations. The role reports to the Director of Campus Safety and may assist with parking enforcement when not driving.

Responsibilities include operating a shuttle on assigned routes, performing daily inspections, and maintaining logs. Candidates should have a high school diploma and a valid PA driver’s license, with strong customer service

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid Pennsylvania Class C driver's license with acceptable driving record.
• Ability to meet college insurance requirements and pass background checks.

Responsibilities

• Operate a College passenger van or shuttle on assigned routes and schedules.
• Pickup and drop off passengers safely, courteously, and on time.
• Complete daily vehicle inspections and report maintenance or safety concerns.
• Keep the vehicle fueled, clean, and ready for service.
• Assist passengers, including accessibility equipment when trained.
• Maintain mileage, passenger, fuel, and inspection records.
• Follow traffic laws and College vehicle policies.
• Perform other transportation duties as assigned.
• Assist with parking enforcement as needed, including ticketing improperly parked vehicles.
