Qualifications

• Valid South African Code 10 driver's license.
• Valid Professional Driver's Permit (PDP).
• Minimum 4 years of experience driving heavy vehicles, intercity routes preferred.
• Clean driving record with no major infringements.
• Adherence to strict schedules and deadlines.
• Good knowledge of Free State road networks.
• Basic vehicle maintenance understanding.
• Willingness to undergo background checks.

Responsibilities

• Operate a Code 10 vehicle on a predetermined intercity route.
• Safely handle packages, documents and materials.
• Maintain on-time departures and arrivals per route schedule.
• Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections; report issues.
• Log travel time, mileage, fuel usage and deliveries.
• Communicate with dispatch on route status and disruptions.
• Keep vehicle clean and ready for service.
• Comply with traffic laws and safety regulations.
• Represent the client professionally at pickups and drop-offs.
• Report incidents or delays to management promptly.
• Ensure delivery documentation is signed and returned.
