Job summary

Vicor Corporation, an American manufacturer of advanced 48V centric DC-DC converters, seeks an Engineering Technician - Reliability to support the Quality Department. You will build and maintain reliability test setups, perform electrical testing, and assemble complex devices, including experimental models.

You will follow instructions to create large-scale test setups in environmental chambers, maintain qualification equipment, and participate in process improvement while documenting results

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of equivalent technical experience.
• Able to understand and follow written and verbal instructions.
• Able to identify electronic and mechanical components.
• IPC Solder Certification preferred.
• Computer literate, competent with MS Word, Excel and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Works with small intricate components utilizing a microscope and soldering iron.
• Follow instructions to create large scale electrical reliability test setups in environmental chambers under the guidance of area management.
• Maintenance of product qualification equipment which may involve repair of circuit boards, wiring harnesses, or routine maintenance of test equipment under the guidance of area management.
• Participates in process improvement teams and may assist in conducting cross training as needed.
• Perform interim product qualification testing for new and existing products.
• Perform data entry, tracking and maintenance of product qualification quality records, reporting results in a timely manner to area management.
