Job summary

Shield AI in Seattle is seeking a Reliability Test Engineer to design, run, and manage environmental tests on VBAT and X-BAT electronics hardware. You will define test plans, set up fixtures, instrument hardware, and run campaigns while ensuring data quality.

You will collaborate with design and reliability stakeholders, document results, and influence product quality and long-term reliability throughout the vehicles’ lifecycles. A hands-on role with direct impact.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience with environmental testing (HALT/HASS).
• Self-starting with strong problem-solving and attention to detail.
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Reliability Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Operate and improve a world-class environmental test lab for electronics.
• Develop lab procedures for test setup, data acquisition, and reporting.
• Perform reliability tests including HALT, HASS, and vibration testing.
• Develop best practices, automate data acquisition, and document results.
• Manage procurement and maintenance of lab consumables and tools.
• Oversee safety and organization of lab equipment and spaces.
• Coordinate with external labs for environmental tests as needed.
• Educate stakeholders on test best practices to improve plans.
• Stay current with industry trends in environmental testing.
