Job summary

Goken in the United States is seeking a Reliability Test Engineer to support automotive reliability test and development activities. You will validate vehicle systems (Body, Chassis, Closures) and sub-systems to meet strength and durability targets and exceed customer expectations.

You will develop countermeasure plans with cross-functional teams, analyze test data, and drive improvements. Travel to client or test sites is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with 2+ years of relevant industry experience.
• Minimum 2 yrs experience using Data Acquisition tools.
• FSAE, BAJA SAE, EcoCar or Mini BAJA SAE experience.
• Hands-on experience with vehicle instrumentation and wrenching.
• Test track/driving experience required for testing.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support engineering test activities using established test plans and procedures.
• Conduct objective and subjective testing by driving where required.
• Use data acquisition tools to collect, analyze, and report results.
• Perform vehicle benchmarking for target setting and performance comparison.
• Support vehicle tuning and instrument vehicles for objective tests.
• Analyze problems with guidance and develop corrective actions.
• Coordinate with design and CAE teams to report results and countermeasures.
• Negotiate with departments and suppliers to meet specifications.
• Search for ways to increase efficiency using up-to-date tech.
• Travel to client/test sites as required.
