Perdue Foods is seeking a Reliability Technician II to elevate equipment reliability through predictive maintenance and data-driven problem solving. You will implement strategies, perform advanced troubleshooting, and work with cross-functional plant teams to reduce downtime and boost efficiency.

Key qualifications include 10+ years in industrial maintenance, PM certifications, and expertise across hydraulics, electrical systems, PLCs, and welding.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required with relevant maintenance experience.
• Predictive Maintenance Certifications: QEW, UA Lvl II, IR Lvl II, Vib Lvl II, MLA Lvl II, MCA/ESA Lvl II.
• 10+ years experience in industrial maintenance reliability, troubleshooting, and repairs on mechanical and electrical equipment.
• Expert proficiency in hydraulics, mechanics, electrical systems, PLCs, welding and rigging.
• Commitment to continuous learning to advance expertise.

Summary

Take reliability to the next level. As a Reliability Technician II, you’ll use predictive maintenance technologies to help implement reliability programs and strategies that keep equipment and machinery performing at their best. You’ll play a hands-on role in reducing downtime, improving equipment reliability, and strengthening overall maintenance effectiveness through data driven problem solving and continuous improvement. Working closely with teams across the plant, you’ll help drive efficiency, prevent failures before they happen, and make a lasting impact on operational performance.

Schedule : 1st Shift: Monday through Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm

Principal Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Perform extraordinarily complex technical tasks and decision-making while using the knowledge around predictive maintenance and use of predictive maintenance technologies and concepts with a level 2 certification.

• Must be able to demonstrate/achieve and maintain Predictive Maintenance Level 2 Certifications with expert proficiency 10 months of hire.

• Lead the development and implementation of predictive maintenance strategies to improve equipment reliability.

• Perform complex troubleshooting and root cause analysis on equipment failures.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize maintenance processes.

• Utilize data analysis techniques to predict equipment failures.

• Mentor Level 1 and provides technical guidance for maintenance activities.

• Work all required work schedules. Day travel to nearby locations is sometimes required.

Minimum Education and Experience

• High School Diploma or GED and Equivalent Experience. Predictive Maintenance Certifications: QEW, UA Lvl II, IR Lvl II, Vib Lvl II, MLA Lvl II, MCA/ESA Lvl II.

• Maintain Perdue Farms QEW Certification.

• 10+ Years experience in Industrial maintenance reliability, troubleshooting, problem-solving and repairs on Mechanical and Electrical Equipment, and/or Equivalent Military Experience.

• Expert Proficiency in Hydraulics, Mechanics, Electrical, PLC, Welding and Rigging.

• Commitment to Continuous Learning to achieve increasing levels of expertise.

Preferred Education and Experience

• 2-year Technical Degree in Engineering or Industrial Maintenance.

Physical Requirements and Environmental Factors

• Sitting, standing, walking, climbing, kneeling, reaching overhead and/or at shoulder level, lifting (50 lbs.) and/or repetitive tasks throughout the day.

• Position requires occasional moving to other offices or buildings.

• May need to access files, supplies, and equipment.

When in a plant environment:

• Exposure primarily consists of wet and moist floors which include metal and plastic grating surfaces.

• May be exposed to temperatures of 28 degrees to 100 degrees Fahrenheit with both ambient and 100% humidity.

• May handle products from 25 degrees to 50 degrees Fahrenheit.

• May be exposed to noise ranges of 50 db to 110 db.

• May be exposed to all chemicals used in poultry, food, processing plant.

• Must wear and use protective and safety equipment required for the job as directed by the Company.
