Job summary

Cambrex Corp. is seeking a Reliability Technician to execute site reliability initiatives at the Charles City location.

You will collect oil samples, perform oil changes, and conduct routine data collection on critical equipment to support reliability efforts. You will work with the Reliability Engineer on failure analyses, participate in FMEAs, and help maintain the Mechanical Integrity program with data-driven repairs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Certifications listed (Lubrication, Ultrasonic, Vibration, Thermography, Lean Six Sigma, CMRP) preferred/required.
• Strong mechanical/electrical aptitude and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Collect oil samples per oil sample test plan and perform oil changes.
• Perform routine ultrasonic greasing and data collection for critical equipment.
• Conduct air and nitrogen leak surveys and oversee repairs.
• Collect vibration data for identified equipment.
• Conduct yearly digital thermography of MCC panels.
• Collaborate with Reliability Engineer for failure analyses.
• Participate in criticality assessments and FMEAs.
• Support Mechanical Integrity program data collection and repairs.
• Create Notifications and Work Orders in SAP.
• Other duties as assigned

Job Overview

The Reliability Technician will be responsible for executing the site reliability initiatives at Charles City.

Responsibilities

• Collect oil samples per oil sample test plan. Perform oil changes based on results.
• Perform routine ultrasonic greasing and collection of data for all critical equipment.
• Conduct routine air and nitrogen leak surveys, and oversee all necessary repairs.
• Perform routine collection of vibration data for all identified equipment.
• Conduct yearly digital thermography of all MCC panels.
• Work with Reliability Engineer to collect data in support of conducting failure analyses.
• Participate in criticality assessments and FMEAs as required.
• Collect data in support of the Mechanical Integrity program, and facilitate required repairs.
• Create Notifications and Work Orders in SAP.
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications/Skills

• Strong aptitude in the area of mechanical and electrical systems
• Working knowledge of Microsoft computer applications within a Windows based environment
• High attention to detail

Education, Experience & Licensing Requirements

• High school diploma
• Eithre has, or is willing to obtain, the following certifications:
• Machinery Lubrication Technician 1
• Ultrasonic Level 1
• Basic Vibration Level 1
• Thermography Level 1
• Yellow Belt Lean Six Sigma
• CMRP
