Job summary

Golden Aluminum in Fort Lupton, Colorado seeks a Reliability Superintendent to ensure continuous operation of the aluminum rolling mill. You will develop and implement maintenance and reliability strategies to optimize equipment efficiency, reduce downtime, and improve overall plant reliability.

Lead a team of reliability technicians, conduct equipment assessments, implement predictive maintenance, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and report KPI-driven results to management.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in maintenance, Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronic Engineering or related field.
  • Proven experience in reliability engineering principles, predictive maintenance techniques, and condition-based monitoring, preferably in metal processing or rolling mill/manufacturing facilities.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and industrial machinery.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Willingness to work extra hours and respond to maintenance emergencies as needed.
  • Familiarity with industry standards, regulations, and best practices for aluminum rolling mill operations.
  • Proficient in using CMMS and other relevant software.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement comprehensive maintenance and reliability programs to ensure continuous operation of the aluminum rolling mill, including participation in Reliability-Centered Maintenance initiatives.
  • Lead and supervise a team of reliability technicians and maintenance professionals to address equipment issues proactively.
  • Conduct regular equipment assessments and condition monitoring to identify potential failures and implement predictive maintenance measures.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize equipment performance, reduce downtime, and improve plant reliability.
  • Develop and manage KPIs to measure and track reliability metrics, providing regular reports to management.
  • Work closely with the maintenance team to establish effective preventive maintenance plans and schedules.
  • Provide technical expertise in troubleshooting equipment failures and implement corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with vendors to ensure the availability of spare parts and support for critical equipment.
  • Stay abreast of industry best practices and emerging trends in reliability and maintenance.

We are a continuous casting aluminum rolling mill who established operations in 1984 and located in Fort Lupton Colorado, 35 miles north of downtown Denver. We’re honored to be selected by the Department of Energy to receive up to $22.3 million in investment supporting our Nexcast Mini Mill and other breakthrough projects which will steer the aluminum industry toward a greener, decarbonized future.


Job Summary

The Reliability Superintendent will play a key role in ensuring the overall reliability and performance of our aluminum rolling mill facility. This individual will be responsible for developing and implementing maintenance and reliability strategies to optimize equipment efficiency, minimize downtime, and enhance the overall operational reliability of the facility.



  • Develop and implement comprehensive maintenance and reliability programs to ensure the continuous and efficient operation of the aluminum rolling mill including participation in our Reliability-Centered Maintenance initiative.

  • Lead and supervise a team of reliability technicians and maintenance professionals to identify and address equipment issues proactively.

  • Conduct regular equipment assessments and condition monitoring to identify potential failures and implement predictive maintenance measures.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize equipment performance, reduce downtime, and improve overall plant reliability.
