Job summary

Samsung Austin Semiconductor is seeking a strategic Reliability Engineer to lead reliability programs across the GCS organization at Austin and Taylor sites. You will optimize the asset lifecycle from installation to end-of-life, drive MTBF/MTTR improvements, and align stakeholders through strong project management.

The role requires hands-on reliability expertise, cross-functional collaboration, and the rollout of reliability software solutions, with on-site work and competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering (Master’s degree a plus).
• 2+ years of Reliability Engineering experience driving equipment life cycle improvements.
• Reliability Certifications such as CMRP are a plus.
• Strong Quality and Reliability background with Pareto, RCA, SPC, FMEA experience.
• Expertise in FMEA, Fault Tree Analysis, and MTBF/MTTR concepts.

Responsibilities

• Lead GCS implementation of infra-wide reliability programs for equipment owned by GCS.
• Develop short and long-term strategies for reliability programs with defined scope and timelines.
• Develop and continuously improve GCS Equipment Management KPIs (MTBF, MTTR, PM ratio).
• Implement and sustain Reliability Centered Maintenance, RCA, CAPA and Design for Reliability (DfR).
• Standardize the Asset Life Cycle Process from Installation to End-Of-Life evaluations.
