Job summary

POM Wonderful is hiring a Reliability Mechanic in California’s Central Valley. You will oversee maintenance, tool changes, and setup for production equipment across Plant 1, Plant 2, Arils or Scholar departments. Safety, GMP and food safety are integral to every task.

Base compensation ranges from $22.00 to $30.00 per hour, with opportunities for growth and advancement. The role requires a High School diploma or GED, plus 2+ years of relevant training and 1 year supervisory experience.

Qualifications

• Ability to meet and deal tactfully with fellow employees and vendors/contractors.
• Ability to install, inspect, repair and maintain basic electrical, mechanical, plumbing, pneum atic, hydraulic, and other related systems.
• Ability to perform various clean-up and maintenance tasks as needed.
• Ability to update inventories and other supplies as needed.
• Ability to understand complex written and oral instructions.
• Thorough knowledge of occupation hazards and safety precautions.
• Ability to weld MIG/TIG, stick, and sanitary.
• Ability to follow all food safety programs and policies.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all company and OSHA safety programs are followed.
• Ensure all GMP policies and Food safety procedures are followed.
• Ensure all required GFSI, FDA, USDA, Third Party Audit procedures are followed.
• Inspects work for completeness and reports status to supervisor.
• Determines material, equipment, and supplies to be used.
• Keeps routine records and PM records up to date.
• Installs, inspects, repairs and maintains electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic systems in Beverage department.
• Supports inspections of major contract work and assists with new installations or changes.
• Performs other duties as assigned
