Job summary

Ford Energy, a Ford Motor Company subsidiary, seeks an FMA Engineer to drive DFMEA/PFMEA, RRCL, and SCCAF processes from concept through production. You will bridge systems engineering, design, and manufacturing to embed failure avoidance and maintain links across documentation.

Hybrid Dearborn, MI-based with travel as needed. Minimum 5+ years in DFMEA/PFMEA, MBSE exposure with MagicDraw, and knowledge of high‑voltage battery systems or power electronics are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Systems Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Lead FMA processes and coordinate DFMEA/PFMEA workshops across design, systems, and manufacturing teams.
• Ensure FMA activities influence early design decisions and architecture.
• Coach engineers on FMA methodology and ensure company-wide fluency.
• Support testing, supplier, and production activities with FMA expertise.
