Job summary

Levare U.S., Inc. in Midland, Texas seeks a senior Reliability Engineering leader to guide a team of engineers and technicians in improving product quality and reliability through failure analysis and DIFA data reviews.

You will mentor staff, conduct DIFA on ESP equipment to determine root causes, and develop reports for clients, service centers, and sales. Strong knowledge of ESP engineering, metallurgy, and ISO 9000 practices is expected.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of Reliability Engineering or Quality Assurance/Control experience or 10+ years of related ESP Engineering experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field required.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience in ESP applications, equipment assembly/disassembly, troubleshooting and failure analysis preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead Dismantle Inspection Failure Analysis (DIFA) process including scheduling and report quality.
  • Mentor, coach, and train Reliability Engineers and Technicians.
  • Conducts DIFA of ESP equipment to determine root cause and prepares professional reporting of findings.
  • Provides technical expertise and support to Service Center, Field operations and Sales.
  • Evaluates and revises technical procedures to improve quality and reliability.
  • Organizes data and prepares technical and management system reports and presentations.

Job description

Leads a team of Reliability Engineers and Technicians to drive continuous improvement of product quality and reliability through detailed investigation and analysis of failure event and DIFA (Disassembly, Investigation and Failure Analysis) data, to help meet or exceed client expectations.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Demonstrates and maintains leadership responsibility over Dismantle Inspection Failure Analysis (DIFA) process including client scheduling and coordination, DIFA report quality, and the other actions and outputs of the Reliability team.
  • Mentor, coach, and train Reliability Engineers and Technicians to build technical expertise and ensure knowledge transfer within the team.
  • Conducts (DIFA) of ESP and related equipment to determine root cause, assigns liability for failure and prepares professional reporting of findings.
  • Provides technical expertise and support to Service Center, Field operations and Sales.
  • Exhibits familiarity with metallurgy and chemical analysis as applicable to failure analysis of ESP equipment.
  • Acquires, understands and interprets data from remote access data communications monitoring and from surface equipment history files to facilitate analysis of failures and to promote reliability.
  • Evaluates applications and well history data to promote efficient application of products and run life increase.
  • Evaluates and revises as needed technical procedures and recommends revisions to Engineering Standards to improve quality and reliability.
  • Organizes data and prepares technical and management systems reports and presentations as needed.
  • Monitors equipment operational performance by gathering relevant data and producing statistical reports.
  • Identifies and contributes to development of engineering solutions for repetitive failures.
  • Develop, or contributes to development of acceptance tests and/or inspection criteria.
  • Actively participates in and promote the EHS process and determines appropriate remedial action(s) when necessary.
  • Monitors and participates in the ECN process.
  • Works to solve and communicate any Quality related problems within the service center.
  • Exhibits superior communication skills to interact with clients, sales professionals, engineers, service center personnel and management.
  • Personally observes safety and security procedures and proper use of equipment and material. Actively promotes safety processes and reports any safety issues to proper channels for action.
COMPETENCY
  • REQUIRED EDUCATION
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering a closely related field required.
  • EXPERIENCE
  • 7+ years of Reliability Engineering or Quality Assurance/Control experience or 10+ years of related ESP Engineering experience.
  • TRAINING
  • All company standard required HSE training and certifications.
  • SKILLS
  • Extensive knowledge of ESP component engineering and manufacturing techniques.
  • Experience in ESP applications, equipment assembly/disassembly, trouble‑shooting and failure analysis preferred.
  • Proficient computer skills with knowledge of MS Office and/or company specific databases.
  • Knowledgeable with the Gagemaker System and designated support software.
  • Must be able to work well with stringent deadlines and possess good organizational skills.
  • Familiar with ISO: 9000 requirements including quality practices and procedures.
  • Search and locate Drawings, BOMs, MPIs and other product related documents required to support Service Center Operations.
  • Comfortable reading complex blueprints and customer related drawings.
  • OTHER
WORKING CONDITIONS & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Continuously required to move about the facility
  • Physical ability to immediately respond to emergency situations.
  • Work is mostly in non-climate controlled environment
  • Occasional travel and on call required
  • Routine standing for long periods of time
  • Exposure to shop and field elements such as noise, dust, odors and temperature variations
  • Wear appropriate personal protective equipment, including eye and hearing protection, hard hat and safety shoes while in shop environment or on job site.
  • This is a safety sensitive position.
WORK SCHEDULE
  • As per US labor law & Levare US work schedule. Be on call and work holidays and weekends when needed.
