Job summary

Lockheed Martin is seeking a Reliability and Maintainability Engineer to support R&M activities across various aircraft programs. The role covers analysis, predictions, and FRACAS, with collaboration across IPTs and suppliers.

You will contribute to proposals, EVMS, and digital transformation initiatives, leveraging data analytics and statistics to improve reliability across programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field.
• 3–5 years of related experience or equivalent.
• Experience with reliability analysis and statistics.
• Security clearance is desired but not required.

Responsibilities

THE WORK

Sikorsky is seeking to hire a full time Reliability and Maintainability Engineer to support R&M activities for various Aircraft programs across the company.

In This Role, You Will

• Perform reliability and maintainability analysis basics, support development of related analysis deliverables in support of the H-60 and Advanced Design/Concept programs. Analysis types include: R&M predictions and fleet data analysis, Failure Modes, Effects and Criticality Analysis (FMECA), Fault Trees Analysis (FTA), failure analysis, and corrective action (FRACAS)
• Support development of H-60 Program production or modification proposals or other development and production programs, including technical and cost volumes and supporting technical analyses.
• Support regular EVMS reporting and schedule management.
• Provide R&M Engr design and Failure Analysis support to assigned IPTs and suppliers.
• Will support and/or lead functional and/or digital transformation projects or represent R&M in larger 1LMX or other transformation projects.
• Support Tools/Methods/Database integration projects across Specialty Engineering within RMS.

Standard Job Description:

Develops, coordinates and conducts technical reliability studies and evaluations of engineering design concepts and design of experiments (doe) constructs. Recommends design or test methods and statistical process control procedures for achieving required levels of product reliability. Compiles and analyzes performance reports and process control statistics; investigates and analyzes relevant variables potentially affecting product and processes. Ensures that corrective measures meet acceptable reliability standards. Analyzes preliminary plans and develops reliability engineering programs to achieve company, customer and governmental agency reliability objectives. May develop mathematical models to identify units, batches or processes posing excessive failure risks. As necessary, proposes changes in design or formulation to improve system and/or process reliability. May determine units and/or batches requiring environmental testing, and specifies minimum number of samples to obtain statistically valid data.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related from an accredited college with 3-5 years of related experience, or equivalent experience/combined education.
• Experience with Reliability Analysis, Statistics, Quality Assurance, Data Analytics/Data Engineering/Data Visualization or Application Development.

Desired Skills

• Degree in an engineering, statistics/applied math, or computer science or data science/engineering or similar discipline.
• Background in statistical analysis methods and tools such as Weibull analysis, DOE, JMP, Python, R, or MATLAB
• Experience in database management, application/user interface development, artificial intelligence/machine learning methods and data visualization applications preferred.
• Experience performing R&M predictions, Failure analysis experience (FRACAS) and Failure

• Possess excellent written and oral communication skills, with experience developing and delivering presentations to peers as well as management
• Engineering background with good electrical / mechanical understanding; practical hands on experience with hardware test and troubleshooting a plus

• Ability to obtain a U.S. security clearance is desired, but not required.

Pay Information
