Job summary

Commercial Metals Company (CMC) is seeking a technically skilled professional in maintenance and reliability to support plant equipment, process efficiency, and safety.

The role involves leading projects from design through installation, supervising teams, and applying root cause analyses to improve industrial operations. A technical degree (or 10 years in the field) is required, with opportunities for training and advancement within CMC.

Qualifications

• Practical knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and industrial processes.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical prints/diagrams.
• Ability to lead a project from design through installation and start-up, including training.
• Team-building and supervisory skills for project teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support regarding plant equipment, process efficiency, and plant-wide safety.
• Provide technical assistance in engineering, preventative/predictive maintenance, and reliability engineering.
• Perform root cause and failure analyses.
• Experience with manufacturing or industrial-scale capital projects.
• Track and report maintenance KPIs month-to-month (delay percent, PM compliance, cost).
• Research new operational support technologies, tools, and industry trends.
• Update plant and maintenance equipment records and processes.
