Job summary

SpaceX in the United States is seeking an Equipment Maintenance & Reliability Engineer for PCB/STARLINK to maximize asset up-time and minimize production losses across our satellite production and ground systems.

You will lead asset improvement plans, develop preventive maintenance strategies, analyze asset utilization and remaining useful life, and support production, maintenance management, and engineers across facilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, aerospace, systems, or manufacturing engineering.
• 1+ years in an engineering role in manufacturing, integration, reliability, technical program management, or operations.
• Hands-on experience with equipment control systems and industrial automation.
• Ability to read schematics and OEM manuals; familiarity with reliability tools.

Responsibilities

• Work with project engineering to ensure reliability and sustainability of new and modified installations.
• Guide efforts to ensure consistency and maintainability of critical equipment, processes, utilities, facilities, controls, and safety/security systems.
• Own equipment improvement plans for more responsive preventative maintenance and reduced downtime.
• Define, design, monitor, and refine an asset maintenance plan including preventive tasks and non-destructive testing.
• Prepare asset documentation for review of mechanical design, controls, and software.
• Develop solutions to repetitive failures and reliability issues affecting plant operations.
• Analyze asset utilization, overall equipment effectiveness, remaining useful life, and operating costs.
• Provide technical support to production, maintenance management, and technical personnel.
• Manage production requests for asset improvement, control functions, and data collection.
• Apply value analysis to repair/replace and make/buy decisions.
