Job summary

Georgia-Pacific in Brewton, AL seeks a Mechanical Reliability Engineer (Paper) to improve asset reliability and uptime across papermill operations. You will lead RCFA/FMEA, develop preventive and predictive maintenance strategies, and drive continuous improvement to reduce unplanned downtime and costs.

Qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in engineering and reliability experience in heavy industry; familiarity with vibration and infrared analysis is a plus.

Qualifications

• Reliability experience in a manufacturing/heavy industrial or military environment.
• Experience using Microsoft Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Project, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Lead RCFA and FMEA efforts to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
• Support Environmental, Health & Safety excellence across the mill.
• Develop and support preventative and predictive maintenance strategies for equipment.
• Facilitate prioritization meetings to set maintenance schedules and priorities.
• Provide leadership to drive continuous improvement in asset and site reliability.
• Analyze KPIs (OEE, etc.) to identify gaps and opportunities for improvement.
