Job summary

Aurex Defense is seeking a reliability engineer with aerospace and spaceflight background to support the NASA Artemis program. You will perform FMEA, FMECA, and related analyses to meet contract requirements and prepare reliability presentations for reviews.

Responsibilities include analyzing spacecraft subsystems, conducting FMECA on launch vehicles, and collaborating with design teams to ensure compliance. Strong communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

  • BA or BS in Engineering or related discipline with 5–10 years system reliability engineering experience.
  • Proficiency in FMEA and PRA applied to aerospace vehicles.
  • Experience with Fault Tree Analysis, fishbone analysis, and hazard analysis.
  • Experience with launch vehicle and spacecraft design, development or operations focusing on reliability.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for customer and internal presentations.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze and evaluate spacecraft subsystems such as avionics, propulsion, GN&C, communications, mechanical, and thermal control.
  • Conduct detailed FMECA on launch vehicles to ensure reliability and safety for human spaceflight.
  • Support development of safety and mission assurance analyses and related products.
  • Collaborate with engineering design teams to ensure compliance with customer requirements.
  • Present results to Program Management and customers.
