Job summary

Smurfit Westrock plc is seeking a Maintenance Reliability Engineer to improve equipment reliability, asset availability, and overall plant performance. You will lead reliability initiatives, implement predictive and preventive maintenance, and partner with Maintenance and Production teams to reduce downtime and maintenance costs.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering and 2–3 years in manufacturing maintenance or reliability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related technical discipline.
• 2–3 years of experience in manufacturing maintenance, reliability engineering, or field service engineering.

Responsibilities

• Lead reliability initiatives to improve equipment uptime and reduce unplanned downtime.
• Develop and sustain predictive and preventive maintenance programs aligned with plant goals.
• Perform RCFA and review condition monitoring data to identify trends and prevent failures.
• Deliver safety-related training and coordinate with maintenance and operations teams.
