Job summary

Novelis in Terre Haute, IN is seeking a dynamic Reliability Engineer to improve equipment availability and drive plant performance at the cold rolling mills and finishing lines. You will own reliability initiatives, lead predictive maintenance programs, and partner with operations and maintenance teams to reduce downtime.

The role requires hands-on experience in maintenance or engineering within the aluminum sector, strong data analysis, and the ability to develop multi-year asset strategies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in related field.
• 5+ years in maintenance, engineering, or operations; aluminum experience preferred.
• Knowledge of reliability-centered maintenance and investigations.
• Experience with predictive tech: vibration, tribology, thermography, ultrasound.
• Proficient with MS Project and SAP CMMS.

Responsibilities

• Drive the Condition Monitoring Program for predictive and preventive maintenance.
• Provide technical support for cost-efficient asset strategies.
• Support loss investigations and mitigation plans.
• Collaborate with operations, maintenance, engineering, and procurement.
• Publish Reliability KPIs to track asset performance.
• Develop 1- and 3-year reliability roadmap plans.
• Identify opportunities to apply AI and automation.
