Job summary

Amrize is seeking a Reliability Engineer II at the Holly Hill Cement Plant in South Carolina to create, implement, and monitor Condition Based Maintenance programs. This role sits at the plant and focuses on reliability and equipment availability in a heavy manufacturing setting.

You will lead maintenance routines, BOM development, and predictive maintenance programs, partnering with operations and central maintenance to maximize uptime while upholding safety standards.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Field of Study Preferred: Mechanical Engineering.
  • Required Work Experience: 5-7 years in heavy manufacturing preferred.
  • Required Computer and Software Skills: SAP, AutoCAD, Project, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Etc.).
  • Travel Requirements: 0-10% travel.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor reliability based systems including preventative maintenance systems, vibration analysis and condition monitoring.
  • Participate in creation of preventative maintenance routines (PMRs) and BOMs for plant equipment.
  • Manage preventive/predictive maintenance programs to ensure optimum equipment availability.
  • Oversee PM work orders with coordinated execution by area operations and central maintenance teams.
  • Provide leadership and direction for reliability teams and plant area teams.
  • Coach direct reports to achieve business results and develop performance.
  • Perform root cause analysis, Pareto analysis, FMEA and similar techniques to eliminate repeat problems.
  • Facilitate continuous improvement processes around equipment availability and reliability.
  • Support sustainable improvements in MTBF of major equipment.
  • Promote safety culture and adherence to health, safety and environmental policies.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Responsible for creating, implementing, and monitoring Condition Based Maintenance (CBM) programs.

Position Location: Amrize Holly Hill Cement Plant

Relocation: Relocation assistance is available if the candidate is not local to the Holly Hill, SC area - position is located at the plant, it isnota remote role.

WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH
  • Responsible for monitoring reliability based systems including preventative maintenance systems, vibration analysis and condition monitoring.
  • Participate in the creation of preventative maintenance routines (PMRs) and bill of materials (BOMs) for plant equipment.
  • Management of the preventative/predictive maintenance programs (Inspection, Vibration, Oil Analysis, NDT, thermography, etc.) to ensure optimum equipment availability.
  • Responsible for the preventative maintenance work order system with coordinated execution of the area operations and central maintenance teams.
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and direction for reliability team and plant area teams in a manner consistent with our values.
  • Accountable for providing leadership, development and coaching on individual performance to direct reports to achieve business results.
  • Analysis and elimination of repetitive problems though root cause analysis, Pareto analysis, statistical review, FMEA and similar techniques.
  • Responsible for the facilitation of continuous improvement processes around equipment availability and reliability.
  • Support and guide sustainable improvements in MTBF of major equipment.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

Education: Bachelor's degree

Field of Study Preferred: Mechanical Engineering

Required Work Experience: 5-7 Years. Experience in heavy manufacturing environment is heavily preferred.

Required Computer and Software Skills: SAP, Autocad, Project, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Etc.)

Travel Requirements: 0-10%

Additional Requirements
  • Experience in FFT analysis of vibration spectra on a range of heavy industrial plant
  • Experience in practical application of FMEA, NDT inspection techniques preferred
  • Working knowledge of instrumentation, process controls, motors, starts, VFD’s preferred
  • Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of company approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
