Job summary

FirstEnergy Service Company, a subsidiary of FirstEnergy Corp, seeks an engineer to assess and improve Pennsylvania's distribution system reliability. You will analyze data, develop long-range improvement plans, and prepare regulatory reports supporting reliability targets.

The role is onsite at Hanover, Gettysburg, or York, PA, with travel within the service territory and potential extra hours. ABET-accredited degree and PE options are discussed during hiring.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering/Engineering Technology from an ABET-accredited institution.
• PE license is a plus but not required; alternative is non-ABET degree plus advanced engineering degree from ABET program.
• Experience with electrical systems, operations, maintenance, and data analysis is desired.

Responsibilities

• Assess and improve the electrical distribution system's reliability in Pennsylvania.
• Develop and oversee long-term infrastructure improvement plans (LTIIP).
• Prepare and present reliability performance and regulatory reports.
• Coordinate with Distribution Control Center to ensure safe operation.
