Job summary

Actalent is seeking a Reliability Product Approval Engineer to support development, validation, and continuous improvement of complex electromechanical products. You will collaborate with engineering, quality, testing, manufacturing, and regulatory teams to ensure reliability, performance, and compliance throughout the product lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Expertise in reliability engineering and product validation.
• Experience with DFMEA, accelerated life testing, and statistical analysis.
• Experience in engineering test method development for electromechanical systems.
• Strong technical documentation skills.
• Knowledge of HVAC/R systems and DOE.
• Experience with data acquisition systems and regulatory testing.
• 5+ years of experience in reliability engineering, validation testing, or product approval.
• Experience supporting electromechanical product development.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute reliability plans aligned with product requirements and milestones.
• Define reliability test strategies, protocols, acceptance criteria, and validation methods.
• Support verification and validation activities through structured testing and data collection.
• Evaluate product performance and reliability metrics throughout development.
• Lead DFMEA activities and root-cause investigations.
• Apply reliability principles and PoF methodologies to identify failure mechanisms.
• Drive corrective and preventive actions to improve product robustness and reliability.
• Maintain traceability between requirements, test methods, results, and conclusions.
• Create and document Engineering Test Procedures (ETPs).
• Collaborate with engineering, quality, manufacturing, and regulatory teams throughout product development.
