Job summary

Harsco Environmental is seeking a Reliability Engineer to improve equipment reliability, reduce downtime, and drive continuous improvement in steel production and environmental systems. You will lead root cause analyses, implement corrective actions, and collaborate with operations, maintenance, and engineering teams to enhance asset performance, safety, and compliance.

The role emphasizes cross-site coordination, development of maintenance standards, and data-driven reliability improvements

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Reliability Engineering, or related technical field.
• 5+ years of reliability, maintenance, or engineering experience in steel/heavy industrial environments.
• Willingness to travel 30%–40% to Mexico.
• Experience with root cause analysis methodologies.
• Knowledge of predictive and preventive maintenance best practices.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, project management, and communication skills.
• Spanish language ability considered a plus.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate cross-site activities and share best practices across the network.
• Lead root cause analyses and implement corrective/preventive actions.
• Develop and standardize preventive maintenance strategies across sites.
• Maintain reliability records and RCA documentation.
• Provide technical sourcing input during equipment purchases and lifecycle decisions.
