Infotree Global Solutions is seeking an engineer to lead board-level reliability on products, develop test procedures to quantify reliability, and perform failure analysis resulting from these tests. You will apply reliability methodologies and work with cross-functional teams.

The role requires MS/PhD in Materials Science or Mechanical Engineering (consumer electronics experience preferred) and hands-on experience with mechanical testing, failure analysis techniques, and DOE/FMEA.

Qualificações

• Experience performing reliability testing across mechanical stress, shock, drop, and vibration.
• Proficient in failure analysis techniques (optical microscopy, X-ray, SEM/EDS, FTIR, XPS).
• Ability to use FA methodologies to derive root cause.
• Knowledge of JEDEC, ASTM, IEEE standards.
• Solid understanding of mechanical assemblies.
• Experience with DOE and FMEA.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
• Capable of completing tests and resolving issues unattended.

The engineer will be responsible for leading board level reliability on products, development of new test procedures to quantify the reliability of a design, and failure analysis resulting from these tests.

Key Qualifications:

• Experience performing reliability testing including Mechanical Stress Tests, Shock/Drop/Vibration Testing, Environmental Testing.
• Failure Analysis analytical techniques (Optical Microscopy, X-Ray, SEM/EDS, FTIR, XPS etc).
• Ability to use fundamental failure analysis methodology to derive a root cause of failure.
• Knowledge of industry test Standards (JEDEC, ASTM, IEEE).
• Solid understanding of mechanical assemblies.
• Application of DOE (design of Experiments).
• Application of FMEA (Failure Modes an Effects Analysis).
• Exceptional problem solving abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple projects at the same time.
• Ability to complete tests and resolve problems in an unattended manner.

Education and Experience

• MS or PhD in Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent field desired.
• Consumer electronics experience is preferred
