Job summary

Sofidel America is seeking a Reliability Engineer to join our team in North Las Vegas. The role focuses on improving equipment reliability, reducing downtime, and supporting predictive maintenance across the facility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering or related field required.
• 3+ years in reliability engineering, vibration analysis, or maintenance engineering in manufacturing.
• Vibration analysis certification (ISO Category III or similar) preferred.
• Experience with CMMS (MaintainX or similar) and predictive maintenance technologies.

Responsibilities

• Lead vibration analysis activities including data collection, route development, spectrum interpretation, and reporting.
• Analyze equipment failures and perform root cause failure analysis on rotating equipment (motors, pumps, gearboxes, fans).
• Develop and support predictive maintenance programs (vibration monitoring, thermography, ultrasound, oil analysis).
• Monitor equipment performance and maintenance data to identify trends and opportunities.
• Collaborate with Maintenance, Engineering, and Operations to prioritize corrective actions based on reliability data.
• Support asset criticality assessments and reliability-centered maintenance strategies.
• Drive reliability improvement projects to extend equipment life and reduce chronic failures.
• Maintain and optimize condition monitoring tools and systems.
• Maintain documentation and reporting related to equipment performance and maintenance activities.
• Ensure compliance with plant safety standards and policies.
• Participate in cross-functional teams to support plant reliability and continuous improvement.
• Perform other duties as assigned

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field preferred
• 3 or more years of experience in reliability engineering, vibration analysis, or maintenance engineering within a manufacturing environment
• Strong experience with vibration analysis and rotating equipment diagnostics
• Vibration Analysis Certification (ISO Category III or similar) preferred
• Knowledge of predictive maintenance technologies including vibration monitoring, ultrasound, thermography, and oil analysis
• Experience working with CMMS systems such as MaintainX or similar platforms
• Strong analytical, problem solving, and troubleshooting skills
• Strong communication and collaboration skills in a cross functional manufacturing environment
