Avera is hiring for a Release of Information clerk to support the HIM department in Sioux Falls. You will process ROI requests, verify documents, and track releases using HIM systems. A strong customer service mindset and problem solving ability are essential.
You will greet patients and staff, answer calls, and coordinate with physicians, insurers, attorneys, and other stakeholders while upholding HIPAA and confidentiality at all times.

Responsible for the release of information process. This includes, but is not limited to, processing ROI requests, handling various types of media and the utilization of HIM systems to disseminate health records. The position requires a strong customer service mentality and ability to problem solve and interact with various audiences of internal and external stakeholders.
