Job summary

The role requires strong SDLC and DevOps understanding, experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps), and excellent project management and stakeholder communication.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and DevOps practices.
• Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps).
• Proficiency in version control, branching strategies, and release governance.
• Excellent project management, communication, and stakeholder coordination skills.
• Certifications such as ITIL, PMP, or Agile/Scrum Master are highly beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Plan and schedule releases across multiple applications and environments, maintaining a master release calendar.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams (development, QA, operations, product) to ensure release readiness and alignment.
• Lead Go/No-Go meetings and manage deployment checklists, approvals, and readiness criteria.
• Implement and govern release processes for code movement through dev, test, staging, and production.
• Manage risks and issues related to release scope, quality, and timelines; develop rollback plans.
• Oversee CI/CD pipeline activities and collaborate with release engineers on branching, merging, and versioning.
• Maintain release documentation, including runbooks, procedures, dependencies, and communication lists.
• Drive continuous improvement in release automation, tooling, and processes.
