Job summary

Access Data Consulting Corporation is seeking an experienced SAP Release Management Manager to lead the release lifecycle across SAP landscapes, coordinate transports, and drive governance and production readiness.

This role partners with DevOps, ensures quality and security, and builds scalable release practices. West Palm Beach preferred, travel up to 25% may be required, and a strong background in S/4HANA and SAP tools is expected.

Qualifications

• 8–10+ years of experience in SAP release management or related fields.
• Strong knowledge of SAP transports, production environments, CAB, risk mitigation, and rollback planning.
• Experience with SAP S/4HANA and related tools like Solution Manager or Cloud ALM.
• Bachelor's degree in CS/IS/Engineering or related field preferred; SAP certifications are a plus.

Our client is a leading provider of infrastructure services supporting the telecommunications, utility, and critical connectivity industries across the United States.

The company is undergoing a major enterprise-wide SAP transformation, creating an exciting opportunity for an experienced SAP Release Management Manager to help establish and mature its internal SAP Center of Excellence. This role will serve as a key leader within the SAP service delivery organization, taking ownership of how changes move from development and testing into the live production environment. You’ll have the opportunity to shape release governance, improve deployment processes, strengthen collaboration with DevOps and technical teams, and help establish scalable practices for a growing SAP environment.

What you’ll be doing:

• Own and orchestrate the SAP release lifecycle, coordinating transports, deployment schedules, dependencies, and production releases across the SAP landscape and connected systems.
• Establish and enforce release governance, serving as a key decision-maker for production changes and coordinating Change Advisory Board activities to ensure releases meet quality, security, testing, and enterprise standards.
• Lead cutover and production-readiness activities for major deployments and system integrations, ensuring business, technical, and support teams are aligned before changes are introduced.
• Manage release risk and recovery planning, developing rollback strategies, identifying potential conflicts, and coordinating remediation when deployments do not go as planned.
• Drive continuous improvement and automation, partnering with DevOps and technical teams to strengthen CI/CD practices, improve repeatability, and increase deployment efficiency while maintaining system stability.

Our ideal candidate has:

• 8–10+ years of experience in SAP release management, SAP landscape management, IT service delivery, change management, or a closely related discipline.
• Strong hands-on experience with SAP transports, production environments, release governance, cutover management, CAB processes, risk mitigation, rollback planning, and hypercare.
• Experience working with SAP S/4HANA environments and, ideally, related technologies such as SAP BTP, third-party integrations, SAP Solution Manager, or SAP Cloud ALM.
• A strong understanding of DevOps, CI/CD, automated testing, and deployment processes, with the ability to collaborate effectively with technical teams.
• A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or a related field is preferred. SAP certifications and an advanced degree are a plus.
• Location: West Palm Beach, FL preferred, but geography is flexible for the right candidate.
• Candidates should be comfortable traveling to operating-company locations as needed, with travel expected to up to approximately 25%.
• Occasional flexibility may be required around major SAP implementations, cutovers, significant releases, hypercare, or critical production issues.
