Job summary

Wellington Management in Boston is seeking a Relationship Manager - Sub-Advised Insurance to lead a portfolio of strategic client relationships, coordinating internal resources and ensuring exceptional service delivery across the relationship lifecycle.

You will manage client engagements, drive governance and quarterly reviews, and partner with Investments, Product, Operations, Legal and Compliance to support execution.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in relationship management, client service, sub-advisory, or institutional asset management.
• Experience managing sophisticated institutional or sub-advisory client relationships.
• Understanding governance processes, reporting requirements, and client servicing activities.
• Ability to manage multiple complex relationships independently.
• Strong collaboration and stakeholder management capabilities.
• CFA, CAIA, or other relevant designation not required, but preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary relationship manager for assigned insurance and sub-advisory clients.
• Maintain ongoing client engagement and lead day-to-day relationship management.
• Coordinate quarterly reviews, governance, reporting, and client deliverables.
• Monitor service expectations and resolve client issues.
• Partner with Investments, Product, Operations, Legal, and Compliance to support execution.
• Support retention through proactive relationship management and advocacy.
• Contribute to strategic account planning and identifying client needs.
• Maintain visibility into key client priorities, activities, timelines.
• Provide continuity of coverage across strategic relationships.
• Develop junior team members and relationship management processes.
