Job Summary
Responsible for new business development and relationship management targeted to middle market companies with sales of $50 million or greater within New Jersey. Generate revenue by developing and maintaining relationships with identified companies/developers/managers, generating deal flow directly from these clients/prospects and orchestrating a team approach to the relationship. The position is supported by product specialists (capital markets, rates and FX derivatives, treasury management, etc.), portfolio managers (credit underwriting, transaction approvals/processing, portfolio management routines) and operational support specialists but remains accountable for all aspects of the relationship.
Job Responsibilities:
- New Business Origination: Developing and maintaining relationships to generate direct deal flow; Coordinate the team approach to approving and closing new deals to grow assets and revenues while optimizing profitability (ROE).
- Relationship Management: Working with assigned portfolio managers, engage with borrowers on idea generation and relevant opportunities to expand our relationship and will include new client generation, loan production and fee income related to cross-sell products.
- Credit Quality: Working with assigned portfolio managers, ensure pro-actively monitoring credit quality of portfolio through timely financial statement gathering, monitoring client’s compliance with ongoing required reporting, properly analyzing financial information and taking or recommending appropriate corrective actions based on acceptable levels. Ultimately responsible for managing the banks risk exposure to acceptable levels.
- Maintaining Knowledge: Staying abreast of industry trends and market conditions that could impact the Corporate and Regional Commercial Banking group as a whole and the assigned portfolio of relationships and borrowers

Required Qualifications:
- Education levelrequired:Undergraduate Degree (4 years or equivalent) in business,financeor related field.
- Minimum experiencerequired:10+ Yearsof experience as a Commercial Lending Relationship Manager and/or commercial lending sales. Some experience in commercial credit may substitute for production experience.
- Regional Commercial & Corporate, Specialized Industries.
- Credit trainingpreferred.

- Expert analytical skills to understand financial and cash flow analyses.
- Highly developed negotiation skills in addition to excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Experienceutilizinga calling strategy to actively call on prospects/clients andestablishapersonally-developednetwork of clients and potential clients to source deals through various centers of influence.
- ComputerproficiencyinMicrosoft Office applicationsincluding;Word and Excel.
- Demonstrates a strong ability to build andmaintaineffective relationships with stakeholders by communicating clearly,engaging in proactive collaboration, andleveragingcross functionalinsights.Aligns relationship building efforts with enterprise goals to accelerate performance and drive strategic results.

- Some travel may berequired.
