The relationship manager cultivates and enhances long-term relationships for Retirement accounts, ensuring client loyalty and retention of clients and plan assets.
Location: Remote candidates will be considered, but candidates located in Iowa are strongly preferred.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain and enhance relationships with Clients, Financial Advisors, and Partners by providing engaging ongoing service; serve as the primary point of contact for all assigned Clients, Financial Advisors, and Partners.
- Create and execute plan enhancements via plan design consultations for full service compliance customers.
- Address and resolve plan compliance, regulatory, and operational issues in conjunction with the TPA and Advisor, if applicable.
- Partner with Clients and Advisors in the development and execution of participant engagement strategies; support plan participant meetings when necessary.
- Identify client needs and proactively propose value-added services; introduce and rollout new products and services offered by American Trust Retirement.
- Coordinate strategic business and communication planning while balancing client needs, opportunities for relationship enhancement, and profitability.
- Prepare and deliver Annual Service Reviews where appropriate, including presenting at on-site meetings when necessary.
- Review all accounts in accordance with department standards.
- Adhere to team individual service and retention goals.
- Perform other duties as assigned by Management.
- Travel as required to support key advisor, TPA, and sponsor relationships.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience, with 5+ years of retirement plan industry experience.
- Knowledge of employee benefits, 401(k) plans, and ERISA law.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and manage multiple tasks.
- Demonstrate creative problem-solving skills, confidence, and executive presence externally and internally.
Salary: $75,000 – $90,000 base salary, based on experience, plus eligibility for the company’s bonus program.
