Qualifications

• Demonstrated success originating and closing residential mortgage loans.
• Strong knowledge of conventional, government, and jumbo mortgage products.
• Working knowledge of underwriting guidelines, income and asset documentation, and loan structuring.
• Strong relationship-building, communication, and business development skills.
• Active NMLS license and applicable state licensing, or eligibility to obtain licenses.
• Proficiency with loan origination systems and standard office software.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple files and deadlines.
• Ability to work on-site in La Cañada Flintridge and collaborate with operations and leadership.
• Commitment to compliant, ethical lending practices.

Responsibilities

• Develop new business through proactive prospecting, referral partnerships, and local networking.
• Build and maintain relationships with real estate agents, other referral partners, and clients.
• Evaluate borrower needs, financial documentation, and qualifications to recommend appropriate mortgage products.
• Structure loan scenarios in accordance with applicable underwriting guidelines and program requirements.
• Collaborate with processing and underwriting teams to address conditions and keep files moving toward closing.
• Manage an active loan pipeline, track milestones, and communicate clearly with borrowers and referral partners.
• Maintain compliance with applicable regulations, licensing requirements, and company policies.
• Uphold high standards of ethical lending, responsiveness, and client care.
