KBE Building Corporation in Farmington, CT is seeking a Project Manager to oversee construction projects from inception to closeout. The role emphasizes timely completion, quality standards, and leadership of field personnel under supervision of Field Operations Directors.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering, Business, Construction Management or related field.
• 5+ years of supervisory construction industry experience.
• Understanding of plans and specifications in construction.
• Experience in controlling job costs and adhering to progress schedules.
• Subcontract language interpretation and overall subcontract management.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Understand and discuss costs, projected schedule, bid requirements and assumptions;
• Inform team members of pertinent information;
• Draft subcontracts to be thorough, complete and all-inclusive, including payment terms, safety policies or requirements, insurance;
• Establish and maintain communication with clients, subcontractors and suppliers;
• Ensure subcontractor adherence to schedule;
• Prepare cash flow schedules for the owner/bank, as required;
• Control all project costs and maximize profit;
• Resolve all claims for extras and/or credits with owner, subcontractors and material suppliers
