F&M Bank is seeking a qualified teller to join our team. You will handle money and transactions, build relationships with customers, and promote bank products. The role emphasizes trust, accuracy, and teamwork in a community-focused environment.

Responsibilities include processing deposits and withdrawals, assisting customers with services, and meeting referral goals while ensuring compliance with bank policies and security procedures. Monday through Saturday availability is typical.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; or related experience and training.
• Basic math and computer skills.
• Cash-handling experience.
• Excellent communication, customer service, and time-management skills.
• Ability to pass a background check.

Responsibilities

• Handle account transactions for customers, including check cashing, deposits, withdrawals, transfers, loan payments, cashier’s checks, and opening and closing accounts.
• Identify customer needs, provide information on new products and services, and refer customers to branch representatives.
• Meet and exceed referral production goals as set by retail leadership.
• Reconcile cash drawers at the end of your shift, count and package coins and currency, turn in any excess or damaged currency to head teller.
• Track, record, report, and store transactional information and special requests.
• Provide a high level of customer service, providing answers and assistance with a smile.
• Comply and satisfactorily pass tests for bank policy and regulatory compliance that apply to position.
• Other duties as assigned.
