Job summary

Frontier Bank of Texas is seeking a Relationship Coordinator (Loan Processor) to act as the front-line service banker for prospects and customers aiming to start and grow a relationship with our bank.

The role prepares and books loans, supports daily branch operations, and helps grow, service, and retain customer relationships with Frontier Bank. A strong compliance focus and collaboration with portfolio managers is required.

Job description

Primary Responsibilities:

The Relationship Coordinator (Loan Processor) serves as the front-line service banker for Frontier Bank prospects and customers seeking to start and grow a relationship with our bank. The Relationship Coordinator with specialization in loan processing is responsible for preparing and booking loans. They also perform the necessary functions to manage the daily operations of a branch location. This incumbent also has the experience and demeanor needed to help grow, service, and retain meaningful customer relationships with Frontier Bank.

  • Supports portfolio managers with duties related to onboarding new customers

  • When applicable, takes consumer loan applications and/or refers opportunities to the senior lending team

  • Offers additional services to clients, including Debit Cards, Online Banking, Mobile Deposit, E-Statements, Credit Cards, and other Frontier Bank products as appropriate for the client.

  • Engages in a needs-based approach to determine client needs and responds with solutions that fit those needs

  • Refer real estate and business loan opportunities to the senior lending team

  • Work with portfolio managers, attorneys, title companies, appraisers, tax office, county clerk, and insurance providers to gather needed documentation for each loan file.

  • Obtains Credit reports, OFACs, and file UCCs (as needed) on each file.

  • Prepare HMDA Records as necessary.

  • Processes participation loan payments and loan draws and assists in general file maintenance as needed.

  • Assists senior officers with exception clearing procedures, past due loans, and loans coming due.

  • Participates in community events and represents the bank with distinction.

  • Actively seeks to acquire, service, and retain new business for Frontier Bank.

  • Assists in marketing efforts to promote the Frontier Bank of Texas brand.

  • Customer service. Includes answering the phone and either helping the customer with questions and/or problems or transferring calls to the proper department and helping customers as well as bank personnel with questions concerning loans.

  • Other responsibilities may be assigned by the Bank’s Board of Directors or Senior Officers.

The following requirements represent the knowledge, experience, ability, and demeanor required of a successful candidate.

  • Good organization and time management skills.

  • Comprehensive knowledge of Active Directory, Windows, and other FBOT essential systems.

  • Adequacy with Microsoft products such as Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.

  • Project and Time Management for multiple ongoing tasks.

  • Communicated with multiple contacts daily and had the ability to lead positive and effective meetings.



Education/Experience:

High school or GED level course work or equivalent related experience. Three years of related banking experience and/or training or an equivalent combination of education and experience. College level course work in finance, business management, and/or accounting, or equivalent training, is preferred. Successful individuals will obtain and deepen relationships with our internal and external customers, future customers, and the community.



Language and Communication Ability:

The selected individual must be able to articulate, communicate, and display the Frontier Bank of Texas values. The individual must have the ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical journals and literature, laws and regulations, and legal documents. The individual must have the ability to respond to common inquiries from customers, regulatory agencies, members of the community, shareholders, and others. The individual must have the ability to effectively communicate in writing to many audiences, including shareholders, the Board of Directors, executives, the CEO, customers, and others.



Reasoning Ability:

This role requires the ability to define and solve problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. The successful individual will show the acumen to collaborate with others and interpret instructions as expected. They will explore and resolve abstract and concrete issues.



Computer Skills:

The selected individual must possess a working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. The selected individual will have the desire to leverage advanced software solutions, including our lending platform, Sageworks/Abrigo, and our CRM tools. The successful individual will demonstrate effective time management and accountability to relevant activities and results. The selected individual will effectively leverage Microsoft Outlook and Teams to manage time, email communications, virtual/phone meetings, internal communications, and in-person appointments.



Work Environment and Physical Demands:

The work environment and physical demand characteristics described herein are representative of those the selected individual will encounter while performing their essential job duties. The noise level will usually be moderate or less. The selected individual may frequently lift and/or move up to ten pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to twenty-five pounds. While performing the duties of this job, the selected individual is frequently required to sit, stand, walk, talk, and hear.
