Job summary

KeyBank in Fairbanks, Alaska is seeking a Personal Banker who will engage clients in meaningful conversations to uncover financial needs and provide guidance toward wellness. You will open accounts, deepen relationships, and partner with teammates to grow the customer base both in person and via proactive calling.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma (Bachelor's degree preferred), strong communication and sales skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced branch environment.

Qualifications

• 1+ years in developing current and new customer relationships, achieving sales goals, and building referral sources.
• Understanding of consumer credit including loan-to-value, debt-to-income and credit reports.
• Foundational knowledge of sales and service techniques with clients (tele-consulting, outside calling, prospecting, networking).
• Comfortable interacting with small business clients and overcoming objections.
• Experience influencing partners and leveraging centers of influence (Key Investment Services, Mortgage, Business Banking).
• Working knowledge of PCs (Windows, Word, Excel) and digital platforms.

Responsibilities

• Provide customized financial wellness recommendations to clients based on conversations.
• Open personal and business accounts and manage various deposit products.
• Develop partnerships with branch teammates and business partners to attract and deepen client relationships.
• Ensure compliance with operational, risk, security and audit policies and proper documentation of interactions.
• Support branch operations and assist with teller transactions as needed.
• Participate in morning huddles and end-of-day debriefs; occasional Saturdays may be required.
