Job summary

The role involves proactive customer engagement, cross-channel collaboration, and adherence to risk and regulatory requirements to protect client assets and ensure high service levels.

Qualifications

• Typically between 2-3 years of relevant experience and post-secondary degree in related field of study desirable or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Appropriate lending qualifications and designations.
• Working knowledge of personal and small business customer needs and solutions.
• Experience in financial services is an asset.
• Verbal & written communication skills - Good.

Responsibilities

• Takes a lead in proactively engaging with existing customers and prospects by providing needs-based assessments to grow loyalty and identify opportunities.
• Engages customers to complete needs assessments that identify financial solutions and preferred banking channels while recommending tailored solutions addressing sales and service needs.
• Offers clients advice and guidance on available digital and self-serve options to make banking easy, simple, and fast.
• Supports customer transactions needs based on customer traffic.
• Engages customers to grow BMO’s business by reaching out, generating appointments, and building new relationships within the community.
• Applies risk management framework to protect the Bank’s assets and ensure compliance with lending policies.
• Makes credit recommendations for personal lending transactions, including home financing, per sound credit granting principles.
• Takes initiative to find creative approaches that make each customer’s experience personal.
• Keeps current knowledge of personal banking products, practices, and trends and integrates into conversations.
