Job summary

BMO Financial Group in California (Ripon area) seeks a customer-focused banking professional to deliver needs-based assessments, advise on financial solutions, and help customers navigate everyday banking, lending, and investment options.

You will work with branch colleagues and partners to grow relationships, ensure compliance, and provide a personal, simple banking experience across channels. Previous retail banking or sales experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Typically between 2 - 3 years of relevant experience and post‑secondary degree in related field of study desirable or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Appropriate lending qualifications and designations.
• Working knowledge of personal and small business customer needs and solutions.
• Experience in financial services is an asset.
• Confident in the use of social media, tablets, smartphones, online tools, and applications.
• Experience in a consultative customer service or sales role with a drive to deliver a personal customer experience.

Responsibilities

• Leads proactive engagement with existing customers and prospects through needs-based assessments.
• Identifies financial solutions across banking channels and tailors recommendations.
• Advices on digital/self-serve options to simplify banking.
• Supports customer transactions and builds new relationships in the community.
• Ensures compliance and risk controls in lending decisions and data entry.
