Job summary

Trustmark National Bank seeks a Relationship Banker II to identify customer needs and match them with bank products, strengthening relationships and loyalty. You will drive sales through proactive service, deposit and loan referrals, and accurate cash handling while ensuring service standards and regulatory compliance.

This role requires strong communication, multitasking, and the ability to mentor others; experience in retail banking and NMLS registration is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or GED.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to meet sales goals in a retail banking environment.
• Must be able to learn and explain Trustmark products.

Responsibilities

• Identify customer needs and refer opportunities through proactive sales/service.
• Service, sell, and cross-sell deposit accounts, loans, insurance, and cash management.
• Deliver exceptional customer experience following Trustmark's service standards.
• Safeguard assets and process transactions accurately (deposits, withdrawals, wires, etc.).
• Balance cash drawer daily and ensure documents are complete.
• Achieve quarterly sales and referral goals while converting service into sales.
• Make outreach calls to customers and prospects.
• Comply with policies, procedures, and performance standards.
• Coach and mentor Relationship Bankers and Tellers.
• Oversee and review transactions including night drops, money orders, and vault management.
• Assist with consumer loan origination.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
