Overview

Relationship Bankers are responsible for identifying customer needs and matching them with the appropriate bank products and services to enhance customer satisfaction, loyalty, and financial well-being. They utilize proactive sales and service efforts, recognize referral opportunities, deepen customer relationships, and process a variety of cash and non-cash transactions.

Relationship Banker I - Floaters will travel between assigned branch locations.

Responsibilities

• Identify customer needs and make appropriate referrals through proactive sales/service efforts.
• Service, sell, and cross-sell deposit accounts, loan products, insurance products, cash management services, etc.
• Deliver an exceptional customer experience following Trustmark’s service standards.
• Safeguard the bank’s assets and security while processing transactions accurately (deposits, withdrawals, wire transfers, credit card transactions, loan payments, account maintenance).
• Balance cash drawer daily and ensure proper documentation.
• Achieve sales and referral goals quarterly while providing excellent customer service.
• Make outreach calls to customers and prospects.
• Comply with bank policies, procedures, and standards.
• Travel between branch locations.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• One year of sales or customer service experience (or Bachelor’s degree in lieu).
• Basic math skills and ability to handle routine transactions.
• Exceptional customer service skills and product knowledge.
• Pass assessment tests related to customer service and math.
• Ability to meet sales goals in a retail environment.
• Basic computer skills and ability to learn internal systems.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Time management and attention to detail.
• Professional appearance and mannerisms.
• Experience in maintaining and balancing a cash drawer preferred.

Physical Requirements/Working Conditions

Must be able to sit or stand for long periods, use a computer, and lift at least 20 pounds.
