Job summary

BankPlus in New Orleans, LA seeks a Relationship Banker to strengthen customer relationships and deliver outstanding service. You will assess customer needs and promote bank products such as loans and deposits, while handling transactions accurately and efficiently.

You’ll educate customers on digital banking, assist with ITM usage, and balance cash recyclers. The role requires effective communication, multitasking, and occasional after-hours work.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree OR equivalent work experience.
• 2+ years in a similar or professional environment.
• 6 months cash handling experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work outside regular business hours.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain strong working relationships with customers and project a positive image of BankPlus.
• Demonstrate sales and service skills with a focus on loan, deposit, and cash management products.
• Process relationship banker transactions accurately and efficiently per BankPlus procedures.
• Educate customers on ITM usage and digital banking solutions.
• Balance ITM and cash recyclers and maintain accuracy.
• Open deposit accounts and handle servicing transactions as requested.
• Educate customers on emerging bank technology and digital solutions.
• Sell and cross-sell bank products by assessing customer needs.
• Assist customers with safe deposit access and wire transfers as needed.
• Support marketing efforts and participate in community activities to generate leads.
• Maintain knowledge of regulatory issues related to daily functions.
