Job summary

Bank Iowa is seeking a Personal Banker to open and grow consumer and business accounts, originate loans, and deliver exceptional service to retail and commercial clients. You will actively promote bank services and build relationships through community engagement.

You’ll manage loan analysis, documentation, and compliance while supporting branch operations and cross-selling across product lines. This role rewards proactive, customer-centric teamwork in a values-driven, community-focused bank.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required or preferred.
• 1–2 years' work experience in a financial institution or loan office setting preferred.

• Strong communication skills and conflict aversion.
• Ability to work with others, such as co-workers, leaders, or clients.
• Proficient in technology and services, such as Microsoft Access, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word; familiarity with alarm systems and office equipment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and open new consumer and business accounts for retail and commercial clients.
• Originate consumer loans and promote bank services.
• Provide superior client experience and build client relationships.
• Prospect new clients via outbound calls and community outreach.
• Assess financial information and ensure lending policies are followed.
• Complete documents for accounts, loans, and deposits.
• Record and track activities using relationship management tools and participate in team meetings.
• Assist with back-up support to teller line and reception as needed.
