Job summary

Huntington National Bank is hiring a Financial Relationship Banker in Chicago to help consumer and business customers achieve their financial goals. You will retain and grow relationships by identifying needs and recommending deposit, loan, and other banking products.

The role emphasizes customer service, proactive sales, and educating customers on digital banking tools while complying with policies and regulations. Strong communication and relationship-building skills are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 1 year customer service and sales experience.
• Background check including fingerprints per NMLS regulations.
• Preferred: Bachelor's degree and 1 year in customer service and sales.
• Ability to build, deepen and retain relationships.
• Strong banking, sales, investments, consumer lending, and presentation skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Tech-savvy with mobile/online banking.
• Knowledge of consumer and business deposit products.
• Bilingual Spanish.

Responsibilities

• Providing excellent customer service and effectively resolving customer issues.
• Proactively identifies opportunities to grow customer relationships through appointments, Centers of Influence, a disciplined sales process, and referrals.
• Educating and referring customers to other areas of the bank to deepen relationships and build partnerships.
• Educating customers on how to optimize their use of bank technology (online, mobile, and ATM banking).
• Maintaining knowledge of all products, services, technology and policies.
• Adhering to operational, security, risk and regulatory policies and procedures.
• Other duties as assigned.
