JOB SUMMARY

The Relationship Bankers primary goal is to learn all products and services that can be delivered from the new accounts department and formulate a new account manual that allows new accounts department staff to facilitate all types of new account department transactions, help customers by discovering financial needs, helping with problem resolutions, and processing transactions when needed. The Relationship Banker is responsible for performing branch operational activities and financial services, processes all new account transactions, assisting customers in their selection of various accounts and financial services, opening, maintaining and closing of all account types, promoting business for the Bank by maintaining good customer relations and referring customers to appropriate staff for new services. You will partner with the branch team and specialists (such as Loan Officers, Business Bankers, and Financial Advisors), to ensure our customers get access to experts who can help them with specialized financial needs.

DUTES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
New Accounts
  • Learn all new account products and services.
  • Develop and maintain a product/service manual to be used by all bankers to ensure consistent account processes.
  • Communicate with all bankers to understand whether current procedures are effective and uncover any inconsistencies.
  • Explaining, promoting and selling all products and services to current and prospective customers.
  • Providing exceptional service that is consistent with or exceeds bank standards of excellence in customer service.
  • Opening, maintaining and closing all types of transactions and deposit accounts.

ACH
  • Review the banks ACH process and recommend changes in policies and procedures.
  • Determine the capabilities of our ACH system and ensure the bank is using it to its full capacity and selling accordingly.
  • Identify staff that is part of the ACH process.
  • Ensure all applicable staff members are knowledgeable of the ACH process.
  • Develop sales material for ACH and assist bankers in presentation as needed.
Cash Management
  • Review the banks cash management product.
  • Determine the capabilities of the cash management product and ensure the bank is using it to its full capacity and selling accordingly.
  • Review competitors cash management and develop comparison to our bank.
  • Investigate cash management alternatives if management decides to change.
  • Develop sales material for cash management and assist bankers in presentation as needed.
