Job summary

Bank of America is seeking an Equity Research Analyst/Associate focused on REITs to work with the US REIT team in New York. You will gain deep understanding of property sectors, perform valuations, and prepare industry and company reports.

The role requires 0–3 years of experience, a finance/economics background, and strong writing and Excel skills. Collaboration with senior analysts and interaction with clients are core parts of the job.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent years of experience.
• 0-3 years working experience.
• Interest in US commercial real estate.
• Basic understanding of economics, macroeconomic factors and policy/politics.
• Solid writing and spreadsheet skills.
• Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and intense environment while maintaining a positive attitude.
• Must work well in a collaborative team environment.
• Major(s), Minor(s) in Accounting, Economics and/or Finance preferred but not required.
• Must have strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Gain deep understanding of property sectors and REITs under coverage.
• Perform financial modeling & valuation work.
• Write regular industry and company reports including initiations.
• Develop databases integral to our research product.
• Demonstrate strong industry knowledge and business judgment.
• Interact regularly with clients, institutional salesforces and REIT traders.
