JCW is currently working on behalf of a well-respected hybrid fronting carrier looking to add a Senior Reinsurance Contract Attorney to their growing legal team. In this fully remote position, you will play a critical role in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating reinsurance and program agreements. This position demands deep knowledge of reinsurance structures, fronting arrangements, and regulatory considerations within the insurance ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate complex reinsurance agreements (proportional and non-proportional), program administrator agreements, and related collateral/security agreements.
• Advise business teams and senior leadership on legal risks, regulatory compliance, and contractual obligations.
• Monitor changes in insurance and reinsurance law and recommend necessary changes to policies and practices.
• Maintain contract templates and manage legal aspects of the reinsurance program lifecycle.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school and admission to at least one U.S. state bar.
• 7+ years of legal experience, with at least 5 years focused on reinsurance or insurance regulatory matters.
• Strong understanding of fronting arrangements, MGA/MGU structures, and collateral requirements.
• Excellent contract drafting, analytical, and negotiation skills.
